Barnabas follows Kitty as Josette to 1795 but is quickly returned to the present by the Leviathans. He is used by them in their quest to displace mankind and return their ancient cult to supremacy. Carolyn marries Leviathan leader Jeb Hawkes. Angelique creates a shadow to follow and destroy him.
